Iron Man graphic novels

He is Iron Man

Something of a busy time this past weekend, with my son’s first band concert (5th grade trombone (me = proud parent)) running a little long Sunday afternoon, but we still managed to squeeze in a showing of Iron Man before calling it an evening.

A good time was had by all. Even my wife - who typically watches these types of films under mild duress - enjoyed it. Imagine that.

Sure, the plot is predictable, and the music score leaves something to be desired, but the overall effort was well casted, polished, and solid throughout. Downey owns the role of Tony Stark, imo. Highly recommended.

But after the film, what’s a movie goer to do for more Iron Man entertainment?

Graphic novels, my friend. After all - comics is where it all began.

A few links for ya. Marvel has compiled a list of recommended Iron Man reading. Not a bad list, actually. Chris Marshall of the Collected Comics Library dedicated the better part of a recent podcast episode to Iron Man collections, which is perfect for the curious reader with a long commute. It’s complimented by the GNA’s own Iron Man universe listing, where I’ve indexed nearly 50 Iron Man graphic novels, both available and soon-to-be-released.
